Alternatively, choose one of the 10 “off the peg” fragrances from Fleur d’Oranger to Patchouli, although the subtle Vetiver 46 is definitely my favourite.

It is spicy and warm and contains notes of sandalwood, iris and amber that linger seductively in the air. And although inspired by a 300-year old Indian tale of unrequited love, this still feels relevant today. Also available in a limited-edition lighter version - Eau de Shalimar.
